.NET 2.0 silver lining

There has been some ‘debating’ over the move of World Wind 1.3.6 from .NET 1.1 to 2.0, a compromise was made today and a 1.1 branch added to SVN, but that’s not the good news, moving to .NET 2.0 allows World Wind to compile, without modifying the solution, in Visual C# Express edition, which can be downloaded for free from Microsoft! So no more excuses if you want to work on World Wind just do it, no more need to buy an expensive copy of visual studio or mess with NANT and Sharpdevelop.
