Wheelchair Fundraising Update

Wheelchair fundraising update – over £2000 raised!

I have now passed the £2000 mark so I thought it was time for a wheelchair fundraising update.

First off thank you to everyone who has donated and shared the fundraising link over the last month, I’m so very grateful.

Please continue sharing the donation link and spreading the word so that I can reach my final goal of £6000.

Wheelchair demonstration

Today I met with the wheelchair supplier, Richard from All Terrain Wheelchairs. He showed me a demo Magic 360, we discussed my needs and how we could reduce costs by removing features that I really wouldn’t gain any benefit from.

I’ve known Richard since getting my previous wheelchair, he’s an honest and helpful guy, he never pushes for extras so he can make more commission. He also has vast experience with these types of chairs, so I know I’m in good hands.

GoFundMe

Some people may have noted changes on the fundraising page, so I just wanted to clarify things and reassure everyone that all funds are going towards my new wheelchair.

The beneficiary’s name is now listed as Julia Baker. This is because donations are being managed by my mother, Julia Baker. She has set up a separate, secure bank account specifically to hold the funds for my wheelchair.

GoFundMe uses an automated system that gradually increases the visible goal as donations come in. This is a standard setting designed to help reach the final target. My total aim remains £6000 towards my new wheelchair, regardless of what the automatic progress bar currently shows.
