And Chris said let there be light…..

The latest SVN build of World Wind has lighting effects, the Suns position is worked out from your system clock (very accurately, to within 1 degree according to Chris), and you can change the time scaling factor so the Sun rotates around the Earth visibly, it looks great as a screensaver on my 32″ TV.

There are a few more improvements that have been made since 1.3.5, a few have already been listed here like improved kml support, 3D objects. Others include better precision (no more camera shaking close up), no more blurry islands (hopefully), and the removal of the annoying zoom limit that was introduced by 1.3.5’s new render code.

Is there a detailed list somewhere?

I just noticed in the latest build that vectors have an option of not allowing a TOC expansion – very nice.

How long has that been in there?

There should be a changelog available somewhere – not just a list of the major features.

There is no real list, it’s one of the boring things no one volunteers to make, but these links should cover most changes http://cia.navi.cx/stats/project/nasa-exp and http://issues.worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/browse/WW

Has there been a reversal in the Copernican revolution? I thought the Earth went round the sun these days… 😉

    Anyway, looks very nice indeed…

I actually never thought of that, be thankful Chris didn’t make Ames the center of the Solar system.

A person in a motorized wheelchair sits outdoors overlooking a wide landscape of fields, trees, and a distant town. The wheelchair is fitted with mounted devices and has a “STARK INDUSTRIES” label. The person wears a Guardians of the Galaxy T‑shirt and a cap that says “STARK” Above the photo is the GoFundMe logo, and below it the campaign title reads: “Help Daniel Replace His Failing Wheelchair and Stay Active.”
