Another documentary using World Wind animations

World Wind seems to be fast becoming the documentary makers sweetheart, I can think of many reasons for this, but the main one is likely the lack of restrictions on imagery redistribution.

There is of course one major sticking point, most movie and documentary makers use Apple Mac’s for video editing, and World Wind won’t run on their systems, that’s usually when I get an email asking for help, that’s no problem I can easily make clips and save them to QT mov, which they can then post process on their Mac’s.

This time however Chris Johnson of earthOCEAN has taken the simple step of installing bootcamp on his Intel MacBook Pro and dual booting, you can read all about his workflow at earthOCEAN.tv, its a great read.  After you have read it be sure to watch the downloadable videos, great use of World Wind, and also very well produced and interesting.
